Congratulations to Xavier Raphael Vanegas, son of Xavier Vanegas and Reyna Vanegas Bonilla for debuting his film in Los Angeles this Saturday. Amigos Nicaraguenses, if you are in the Los Angeles area, we invite you to join in the Movie Premiere at Akbar!
On January 28, 2012, a screening of “Abby and the Lights in the Sky,” the latest film from the Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship® recipient director Xavier Vanegas, will be held at Akbar in Silver Lake. Supporters of the film will unite to celebrate the accomplishment and movie premiere of a first generation Nicaraguan-American film director.
Xavier graduated from Columbia University in 2007 and USC’s Peter Stark Program in 2010 and on January 28, 2012 he will debut the premiere of his film "Abby and the Lights in the Sky."
The film stars Abigail Eiland and Alex Newell and is produced by Cody Alan Theilman & Xavier Raphael Vanegas and Executive Produced by Christopher Din. Directed by Xavier Raphael Vanegas.
